Rosalind is a licensed Zumba™ instructor, specialized for the “gold,” market, and a certified Tai Chi Black Belt instructor. She teaches pure Zumba and classic Yang style Tai Chi, combining the two disciplines, along with Chi Gong, into a unique Total Body Workout and Body Toning program for women.
Since 1998, Rosalind has taught, demonstrated, and led workshops in Tai Chi, fitness and wellness, not only at The Exercise Studio, but at hospitals, senior centers, Health Fairs, Cable TV shows, holistic vacations in Jamaica; and in Malaysia while serving as an expert for a United Nations Development Program for African Women Entrepreneurs. She obtained her Black Belt at the age of 50 from Ming’s Tai Chi Fitness Academy in Rockland County, and has been a member of the Zumba Instructors Network since 2009. Rosalind feels she is blessed. She says, “Teaching all this, especially at my age, is like tying a big ribbon bow around the myriad benefits of dancing, fitness and martial arts and gifting it to others.”
Aside from her extensive fitness background, Rosalind is also an award-winning journalist and author. She is the executive editor of The Network Journal, the New York tri-state area’s pre-eminent magazine for African American professionals and small business owners.

Millie Miraglia, Founder / Director
Certified Fitness/Yoga Instructor, Reiki II Practitioner
A longtime fitness enthusiast with several sports-related injuries, Millie’s life was transformed by her first yoga class in 1981. Becoming aware of the mind/body connection, she founded The Exercise Studio in 1983, inspired by her vision of creating a fitness center where students would learn not only about their bodies, but also about themselves. The dynamic and inspiring Fitness classes at The Exercise Studio reflect this vision: combining the principles of yoga – breath, movement and body awareness – with powerful, effective yet compassionate cardio-fitness workouts.
As a cancer survivor, Millie’s passion for energy work and her knowledge of how emotions and fears impact healing inspired her to create an innovative modality called “Pathways to Healing.” Utilizing modalities such as reiki, visualization, meditation, restorative yoga and breathwork, Millie helps those coping with acute or chronic illness, medical interventions and surgery, to identify stressful issues in their lives and find ways to release them. In particular she has worked with cancer patients, including those with lung, ovarian, breast and colon cancer, on ways to strengthen the inner resources needed to enhance the healing process.
